From 405 to 225 in a little over a year. today is my #surgiversary and I am so proud of myself! I feel like a brand new woman and I am so happy to receive so much encouragement from all of you! 1 year ago today, I had a #verticalsleevegastrectomy that allowed me to save my own life. I weighed over 400-lbs and had lost hope, but today at 225-lbs at 5’9”. I do not have a goal weight but i want to lose about 50-lbs more to be able to have more endurance and stamina because I want to amateur box by the end of the year. I am running, lifting and dancing like nobody’s business! I mostly eat clean, exercise frequently and have shift my lifestyle to a healthier one. I am only successful in losing because I want this more that I want to breath. I finally live myself enough to treat my body with the respect that it deserves. I stopped being selfish and started to also think that if I died, my brothers would be crushed. I have only steadily lost weight because I am now a person of action and less words. Also, I keep all of you that cheer me on in mind when I want to quit. Thank you for being a part of this story and it is far from over!
